how to be an Operating Room Nurse

I really would love to be an operating room nurse. But I am quite lost where to start or continue my journey.

I am now currently stuck unemployed. I've been an RN since 2007 but has only worked at an opd clinic for 1.5yr.

I would love to have any volunteer-training so that my skills will improve and my quest to be one of the best OR nurse. will even start. Right now, I've done a 1month training for peri-operative. I hope someone could help me find the right direction.

Is there an OR nurse here or someone who have an idea/tips? Thank you very much. Godbless!

In most trainings, like the one I'm in now,:D you will first be assigned to the wards then your performance will be evaluated after 3-4 months to see if you can be trusted enough to be assigned at the special areas like OR, DR and ICU. Hope this enlightens you. Good luck!
