Dear All,
I am a UK ICU RN. I got my CNO registration last week.
Regarding Vulnerable Police Check:
Do we do this before applying for jobs? or after? or is it job offer specific? bec I am currently in the UK n on RCMP website it says they dont send it abroad.
do we apply for jobs, get offer, do vulnerable police RCMP Check?
or apply for RCMP Vulnerable police check then copy it n show it to potential employers?
Thx
Mohammad

You didn't have to get one in order to obtain your nursing license from CNO?
A vulnerable sector police check is different from a police criminal record check.
Hi
No I didnt need a Vulnerable Check
My RCMP Police check was processed on 15 May n I got CNO registration on 30 May, that was quick

To the best of my knowledge, it's employer specific. I'm currently working full time and I was looking for a casual position not too long ago and I received different demands. Not one required to have one immediately prior to working but all expected it to be in process when I had to submit my paperwork. Some required the vulnerable sector check while others simply wanted a clearance letter.
