Ontario University Admission Cut Off

Hi,

I'm a graduating high school student, hoping to go into nursing next year. I've always wanted to be a nurse and I'm hoping my grades are good enough to get into the program. I live in Ottawa so i'm looking at mostly Ontario schools (Ottawa U/Algonquin, Ryerson/George Brown, York) and also Dalhousie and New Brunswick. I'm just wondering what the admission cut off for grade average was in the past few years for any of these universities (I'm probably going to be finishing with a 79-82%). I've looked on the individual school websites but they give the minimum grade required and I'm sure hte cut off is much higher. Also anything about these prgrams would be helpful. Any links to other theads with this info would be great too!

I'm in the Ryerson program here in Toronto. It's great! Cut-off was 85% this year because of the influx of applicants. York's cut-off was around 80% this year, but I'm not too sure what it is for Ottawa. My friend who goes there says that it's a competitive program so I would guess at least an 80%

Try to keep your average in the 80s and you'll have absolutely no problems getting into a school in Ontario. Also check out Brock in St. Catharines, Fanshawe/Western in London, and Mohawk/McMaster in Hamilton (hear they have a great nursing program)
