I apologize if this has been asked before. I am a RPN in Ontario and will likely be relocating to BC (Langley) in at the start of 2019. I have been working as a RPN for 3 years in a hospital here in Ontario. What are my prospects for getting a job as a LPN in BC? I would be looking for a casual or part-time position. My living situation will not be an issue so I am not concerned with the increased cost of living etc, just looking to secure a job :)
Thanks in advance!

You probably won't have a problem getting in casually. Check Fraser health's website for positions

It's been very bad to get position for lpns in bc in the past few years but getting a casual job won't be that hard and the job market seems to be improving. The issue is I see many new lpns getting bumped from their lines because some units are decreasing their lpn numbers and some are increasing them. Many hospitals I worked at have been actually decreasing the number of lpns in the hospital units but ltc/rehab hires many lpns and have more positions. There are less healthcare facilities in BC per city/town compared to Ontario with much smaller hospital sizes. So apply everywhere you can. Langley itself does not have many nursing jobs so you may need to commute to other cities. I lived in Langley for 10+ years
