Hi everyone,
I got rejected by all of the 2nd entry nursing programs that I applied to - UofT York Trent and Humber. Mostly because of my not-so-competitive GPA (3.04 out of 4), and I was lacking pre-req for York and Trent.
Now I don't know what to do, I did my B.A. (2014) in Health Studies at the University of Toronto, spent half a year doing the courses and job search, and unemployed. I still have a passion in nursing however don't know if I should try again. What if i spend all the money and do the courses and apply again, then they don't accept me? Then I will be doomed for life
Opinions? drop it? keep going? or there are more professional certifications that i am not aware of?

6 months is not a ton of time in the job search. Do you have a good resume and cover letter? How are your interview skills?
Also, you were lacking prereqs but applied to programs anyways with the hope of getting in? Do you understand what prereq means? Prerequisites are course that are required before entering a program. They must be done.
It doesn't matter if you get into a nursing program, pass, and get your license if your resumes and interview skills are not up to par. I would keep applying for jobs. Worry if it gets to be over a year.
