Anyone applying to NP school in Ontario for the year 2025?

Would love to have a discussion started for acceptances, etc.

Thank you!

This is my second time applying to NP Program, first time for UofT.  Last year apply for 3 NP school and MN clinical UofT. I believe lacking hours lower your chances. On waitlist for Western and got in for MN clinical stream, since  I really wanna go for NP so I declined.

My stats:

Grad in 2022, GPA 3.5, awards in nursing school, at time applying around 4200 hrs (I work almost everyday to get that 3900 hours mark - LOL), work in ED (adult and peds)-Peds-ICU-community nursing, leadership (preceptorship and committee involvement-chair/officer), closed to 20 certifications mostly critical care related (I'm not sure this matter), and 3 publications.

Honestly I thought I am not gonna make it.

Hang in there guys, no news is good news, at least we still have a chance.

Hoping for good result for everyone here

Mine has been decision pending since beginning of April ..

I'm just wondering if they are still going to send acceptance or just keep the status pending. At this point I am not sure what to expect

I'm late to join the discussion but I was accepted for TMU's Post-Master NP Certificate Program back in February. I applied before first consideration (Dec 9). I didn't apply to any other programs. To those wondering TMU has 45 seats the program advisor confirmed this.

Congratulations. By any chance, do you have TMU course syllabus? I'd like to compare it to York

Hopefully they atleast send out a decision considering we pay $100+ for application fees

Hi, I'm not sure if seats remain. But yes I agree out of courtesy, they should at least send out decisions. Hang tight, hopefully you will hear something soon!!

Does anyone know if international students are given priority for admission?

I have a few acquaintances who applied for post-master's programs.

One international student received conditional offers from UofT, Windsor, and Queens back in March-April.

The other two (and myself) are non-international and were rejected by Queens in early May. I received an offer from Windsor back in early April. The other two are still awaiting responses from UofT.

The international student has fewer years of work experience is set to graduate from their MN program this Summer. None of us have publications, and overall, our GPAs are in the similar range.

I'm really curious about how schools determine their selection process!

I just got an offer from Western! Finally an answer after this wait, and I couldn't be more excited. I cried a lot of happier tears today.
