Anyone applying to NP school in Ontario for the year 2025?
Would love to have a discussion started for acceptances, etc.

Woohoo! Yay! Congrats!

OMG congratulations 🥳 you deserve it and yes 🙌 it awesome to know that you got in and can feel less stressed out.
Benj88 said:Wait, I also just checked my UofT Acorn account and I also see the "Invited" status and $500 deposit! I'm not sure what my Acorn looked like before tho... could this just be a red herring? I also haven't received any other admissions email and my graduate portal status still says "submitted" 😕
From the sounds of it I'm sure you got in, the portal may just be lagging behind.

Do you all meet the hours requirment? I fulfill all requirments other than hours! I'm curious to know how they roll out offers for applicants who don't meet hours at the time of application.
That's what I think, for me I'm still completing my masters so I'm wondering if they are giving preference to those who already have met everything just to secure the spots. Then after they may look at people who are stilling completing their hours etc.

Congratulations to everyone who got accepted!!
im in the same boat and haven't received an acceptance as of yet!! I'm sure that is what they are doing.
They will accept the people with the GPA, completed masters and hours first before taking someone like me who is completing the masters this April. I'm not sure but I'm becoming VERY discouraged LOL
To those who don't have the hours: that was me. I finally obtained enough hours and sent them an email on the 17th. I recommend emailing the admissions team as soon as you hit the hours.
To those who don't have a masters: please have hope still. I don't have a masters. I have a lot of leadership experience and I think that probably helped.

Thank you! And yes I have my hours but currently won't be done my masters till July and they said I could apply still, but I'm sure they are taking in people that probably have it completed already 😔, I'm curious when they are gonna send the second round of admissions.

Has anyone applied to Athabasca university? They are online and clincials can be done in Ontario and they have a pretty good acceptance rate as long as you meet the minimum requirements. I know quite a few people that have done it through them, the only thing is you need 5,000 hours. They have both an MN-NP and PMNPD program.

I believe it sounds like it will be hands-on learning, my assumption is that it will be like a condensed week of theoretical and practical learning regarding NP skills, assessments and managing care of various patients. I anticipate return demonstrations of skills etc. The kind of things we did in BSCN during skills labs but more tailored to NP roll is what I forsee them looking like. I cant find anywhere on UofT a detailed description of what the residency week looks like.
