Hi all, I'm looking to apply for an accelerated BSN course and I'm still missing a Microbiology course. I was searching for some in person/ hybrid classes but most of them are in other states (I live in NYC). Would the admissions for the BSN course care if one of my courses were online instead of an actual lecture? What are the admission program's general attitude for online courses?

You would need to check with the school. Many schools require both a lecture and an in-person lab component.

It depends on the program. The program I am applying to allows you take take microbiology without the lab. I am taking it online. This is my first semester back in school since 2003 and taking classes online was not possible when I was in college. I was worried about taking all of my classes online, but I was having some health problems and was going to miss a lot of class because of a surgery. It has been fine, though. I am mostly a visual learner, so studying at my own pace has been good. If I feel I am missing out, I watch YouTube videos and picmonics. I am currently taking Microbiology, statistics, Astronomy (we needed any physical science) and developmental Psychology.
