Online RN to BSN or go for MSN at Chamberlain??

I am currently in the online RN to BSN program at Chamberlain. I have completed most of the gen ed classes with DeVry except Stats (ugh!) I am starting my first nursing course Transitions with this upcoming 2012 spring session.

I am debating if I should just go straight for my MSN. You end up skipping two of the BSN courses if you go for your MSN. Anyone out there have experience with Chamberlain's MSN program/courses?? Is it comparable to other programs out there? Would anyone recommend another program over Chamberlain?

I've been reading the threads and see a lot of good things about Chamberlain's online RN to BSN program, but not much about the MSN which is making me VERY nervous and leery!

I want to make sure that if I am going to invest the time and money for my MSN that it will be worth it!

Any info is appreciated! Its so overwhelming contemplating these big decisions. :uhoh3:

I recommend you go to an established state university, particularly one affiliated with a teaching hospital. You will get a better education and you will have better opportunities for clinical practice. If I were hiring an MSN and someone from Chamberlain applied, I'd put their application on the bottom of the pile and hope that someone else came along who went to a non-profit university that has a history and name which speaks for itself. Look at all the private for-profits that are popping up with RN to BSN programs. The next thing you know, Kindercare will have such a program.
