  1. I, too, started Transitions today! I have taken a few of the gen ed classes through Devry and have to say based on the syllabus that this class seems not as labor intensive or time consuming as the Devry classes. If you stay on top the discussion questions daily and follow the syllabus you will do fine. Good luck!
  2. I just finished MAT 114 and it was a breeze! I was dreading it since I have not taken a math class since high school many years ago, but surprisingly it was easy! Everything is laid out pretty well. There is the text, videos and notes from your teacher to get you through it. The added bonus is that you get 2 to 3 attempts on all tests, even the final! Don't stress, you'll do great!

  4. I am currently enrolled in Chamberlain RN to BSN. Its pricey, but so far I have had a good experience! LunahRN ~ Did you also go for your MSN? If so, was it with Chamberlain? I am thinking of just going for my MSN, but I have not heard anything about Chamberlain's MSN program? (Sorry still new to allnurses and cannot send PMs yet)
  5. I am currently in the online RN to BSN program at Chamberlain. I have completed most of the gen ed classes with DeVry except Stats (ugh!) I am starting my first nursing course Transitions with this upcoming 2012 spring session. I am debating if I should just go straight for my MSN. You end up skipping two of the BSN courses if you go for your MSN. Anyone out there have experience with Chamberlain's MSN program/courses?? Is it comparable to other programs out there? Would anyone recommend another program over Chamberlain? I've been reading the threads and see a lot of good things about Chamberlain's online RN to BSN program, but not much about the MSN which is making me VERY nervous and leery! I want to make sure that if I am going to invest the time and money for my MSN that it will be worth it! Any info is appreciated! Its so overwhelming contemplating these big decisions.
  6. DeeLeeRN I, too, live in NJ and am attending Chamberlain U. Please let me know what you find out. I am going to call the Board of Nursing also. I hope that they accept Chamberlain
  7. I, too, am in my first class with Devry, Sociology, and it is very consuming. I am encouraged to hear that the nursing courses are not as labor intensive. :)
  8. HI SN3RD, Are you in Cultural Diversity with Prof D? I just started this week too! I think we are in the same boat, writing is not my strongest attribute and Oh My! its all writing. Well Good Luck, just wanted to say Hi and see if we are in the same class!
  9. I became a fertility nurse right out of school and while I love it, I do believe I would have benefited from a hospital experience. I have lost most of the clinical aspect that I learned in nursing school.
  10. I have been a Fertility Nurse for 8 years and absolutely love it! I could not imagine doing anything different. I hope you will find it as enjoyable as I do. When starting out it can be tough to grasp, but trust me it will all fall into place. Lots of intricate details!! Good Luck!
  11. I, too, was in the same boat...did tons and tons of research until my head was spinning. Then I found this site, which has been so helpful. I was looking at UoP, Walden U and TESC, but ended up going with Chamberlain. They have 7 core nursing classes and 7 gen ed, which could be less with transfer credits. I have not started classes yet, but so far the admission process has been smooth. And I am told Chamberlain has no group projects, which I hear can be absolutely horrible. Read around, there are plenty of helpful threads!!:)
  12. LunahRN, I have had a grueling search for an online RN to BSN program and then found this site, which has been a tremendous help with all the feedback. Based on your many posts about Chamberlain, I have decided to go with them. I told them they should pay you a commission. I wanted to thank you, you gave alot of helpful info. I just spoke with the advisor today and am starting the application process. Any tips?? I am new to the site and could not figure out how to private message you, sorry!
