Galen, San Antonio TX, BSN Program

I applied to Galen in San Antonio, TX and was wondering if there are any current Galen students that got accepted in to their 3_year BSN program, that can help answer some questions? I got a 123 PAX score, will that score be ok? How are you liking the program? Pros and cons? How long after the application deadline did you hear back from them? Do you recommend Galen?

why not set up an appointment with the school? I went few days ago, they go over the programs with everyone, and can answer all your questions there. They make it easy for everyone on the process of the application. They also give everyone a folder filled with information about the programs, fees, cost, and how to study for the PAX exam, they do accept teas as well (67% or higher)

I've already met with them. I have the folder with all that information. I took both the TEAS and the HESI, but I sent in the HESI since my score was a lot better on it than the TEAS. My application is complete. I'm asking about the actual program, once you get it. However, I'm still worried about getting in lol

ohhh okay haha

im worried about getting in as well, im working on finishing this application, almost done. But my friend said so far its easy, you really dont start nursing classes or clinicals til 2-3 quarter.

My application is complete as well, now its the waiting game. I'm also worried about getting in since my GPA was not that good at SAC (still obtained AS in Pre-nursing) They said it will take up to 4-6 weeks when they will let us know.

Hello.

Sorry it's been a while. The classes are challenging, but definitely not as hard as I thought they would be. You don't start your actual nursing classes until quarter 5. Clinicals start quarter 6. It has been an enjoyable journey so far. The teachers really care about your success and will go above and beyond to help you understand and master the content. With that being said it does require a big commitment and dedication to studying. It's not enough to show up to class and expect to pass, you will need to study and teach yourself some of the material you don't completely understand.
