Online NP programs?

Hi!! I'm a RN in NYS that has a bachelors in biological science and a ADN. I'm looking into NP programs and I've stumbled upon a couple online versions like chamberlain college of nursing. Anyone have experience with these programs? Are they legit? It would be a nice option to do but I don't want to waste money if there's gonna be hurdles like not having it accredited or finding a job etc. thanks for your help!!!

Specializes in ER.

I know one NP who went through Chamberlain and he was hired through the ER physician group that worked at his hospital.

Most are legit. The downside is that you need to be prepared to find your own clinicals or pay someone to find them for you. Even traditional NP programs are starting to go that route. One found "NPs" for you but they weren't always the best like an urgent care for the peds hours. I chose a program that had clinicals more spaced out (over 5 semesters instead of 3) and I chose to pay someone to find some NPs for clinicals for me since I know ER physicians.
