Online FNP applicants for fall roll call

Is there anyone out there looking to apply for fall 2014? Where are you applying? What are your stats?

I was an LPN for 10 years before getting my ADN in 2011. I graduate with my BSN in 8 weeks! I went to college right out of high school 18 years ago and majored in criminal justice because I didn't think I was smart enough for nursing. I failed out with a 1.8 GPA. From there, the very bottom of my life, I have worked my way up. I graduated with a 3.3 in LPN, 3.347 for ADN, and I'm hoping my final GPA for my BSN at Ohio University will end up a 3.514.

I found my passion in nursing which is what has enabled me to do well. I do NOT want to stop here. I have experience in primary care pediatrics, acute care neonatal, and the last 2.5 years I've worked full time in an emergency department which serves all ages. I love caring for all ages and prefer the primary care setting, which is why I want to do FNP. The last 8 months, I have been the full time charge nurse on afternoons.

I am married, 35 years old, no kids, and have two chocolate labs.

I found some good, reputable schools that will focus on your GPA for the last 60 hours of coursework OR who look at your cumulative GPA for your most recent degree. I will be applying to:

1) Frontier Nursing University for the November start date (app due end of May) 2-3 on campus visits

2) Samford University for the fall. 2-3 on campus visits

3) Eastern Kentucky University. No campus visits.

I plan to go per diem at work and go to school full time.

Those are my contenders in THAT order.

Anyone else out there?

I also applied to samford. I like that the program is 18 months and I have a friend that's in the program. I also applied to texas tech and uta.
