I am currently a nursing student taking an Emergency Nursing course. I enjoy the class immensely, much more than my regular required nursing courses. But I am having lots of trouble with the exams in this course. My instructors said they pull lots of questions from the CEN. Taking that to heart, I purchased the CEN review book published by ENA, which has 5 massive practice exams with access to 2 online exams (still need to figure out how to get those). I have found the CEN review book not as helpful, because it's not broken down into content areas, like say, a lot of NCLEX review books do. It's too overwhelming to take 5 exams with 150 questions each. Is there any other CEN review book or online resource that I can study from for these exams? I'd rather not have my butt handed to me on my next exam.

seeing as the CEN is only recommended for nurses who have had at least two years in the emergency department.. I'm surprised to see that your instructor is taking a majority of her questions from there. the best thing for studying for the CEN is having the actual experience. all i can say is remember yours ABCs and maybe hope for a curve of some sort... sorry!
Nope, no curve. These are the toughest instructors I've had in nursing school. I wish there was a clinical component to this course. I work in an ER, so I've been exposed to a lot. Not from the nursing side, however. That, in my opinion would make this experience better. Clinicals have helped me on tests just as much if not more than textbooks and lecture notes.
