Was hoping to get some feedback from those of you that have taken an online biochemistry class as a prereq for CRNA programs. I am looking into UNE's medical biochem and Oregon State's biochemistry class. I know that UNE's course will have more applicable scenarios, but I am concerned that it will be limited and that I might miss out on a more in depth course (like Oregon State). Thank you in advance!

I am taking the UNE course now and it's no joke. I can't speak to how in depth it is compared to other classes but it feels in depth to me. The lectures themselves don't have a ton of clinical applications, but in my textbook reading there's plenty and it's quite interesting. The course is very tough, and the second and fourth exam (55% of your grade) are proctored. If you have any specific questions let me know!
Thank you for the feedback - helped me make a choice and I appreciate it. :) Good luck with the class!
Happy to help :)

UC Berkeley extension has an online biochem class. Only the final exam is proctored, but you need to pass at least with a 70% to pass the class, otherwise you won't get credit for the class regardless of your previous online work. I have a friend that took it. He said that the instruction is very poor and you practically have to learn biochem all on your own by reading the book and watching youtube videos. I guess it depends on the instructor you pick.. And if you're a motivated self learner, it shouldn't be that bad.
