  1. First off, congrats! Will be finishing in April and cannot wait How has the licensure process been so far? I have been told that holding multiple state licenses can slow down the process. Something about the state BONs verifying you have a clean licenses? Is this something you're aware of and if so, how can I start early so as to not slow down the process further?
  2. I'd have to agree with above. You should start a BSN program ASAP for the shortest route to CRNA. Once you're an RN, being a CNA will look better to hiring managers than a medication aide. Best of luck!
  3. They may be sending out a second round of acceptances soon? The deadline to respond to the informal acceptance was January 4th, perhaps some students are going elsewhere? Fingers crossed for you guys!
  4. I was offered a spot the week before Christmas, just getting the invite to accept/decline this week. Anybody else? I could not be more excited!
  5. The email they sent me after said they would be making decisions in December
  6. I also have been feeling this way, but from asking around it seems normal. It's a huge commitment personally, financially, etc. I think it's healthy to question it and make sure it's something you want to do. And as others have said, it will definitely pay off financially although that doesn't much help the sticker shock. Glad I'm not alone!
  7. I am taking the UNE course now and it's no joke. I can't speak to how in depth it is compared to other classes but it feels in depth to me. The lectures themselves don't have a ton of clinical applications, but in my textbook reading there's plenty and it's quite interesting. The course is very tough, and the second and fourth exam (55% of your grade) are proctored. If you have any specific questions let me know!
  8. I have a feeling that after tomorrow's deadline they will send out another wave of acceptance letters. Fingers crossed for you all!
  9. I would also be interested in any tips/interview advice. Thanks!
  10. Meghan I also couldn't pass up the opportunity, I submitted my deposit and am so very excited! I have an interview at Northeastern, still gonna go and see what happens because I live in Mass. I got a really good gut feeling at Scranton though :) Where are you from?
  11. I completely agree, by far the most organized and responsive program I've applied to. I was honored to be interviewed, nevermind accepted! I did get a really good, positive feeling during my visit..it's just tough because the place I'm waiting to interview at is in my city. I can't pass up this chance though, confirming my spot! Looking forward to joining you in the fall :)
  12. I have had my interview already, and they specifically asked us not to share details of the interview as it's a new format. I will tell you that everyone was nice and welcoming, and the questions were "what would you do if _____" aimed at getting to know you. Good luck!
