Hi everyone,
I am 4 years into recovery. I had my license revoked in 2015. I got a 5 year revocation. I am one year now from being able to renew. At this point I am trying to make sure I have everything lined up to come back. I have gotten my Fingerprint card back, I have changed my life, got a Bachelors degree, I go to therapy. But when I reach out to the board I am told that because I am not in the CANDO program they cannot help me with some of the things required such as the random drug screenings. I need to have 12 months of clean tests. Is there anyone out there who can help, advise or anything. I feel like I am losing my mind.
Thanks

You will have to pay for them and set them up yourself. I did the re-issue app with AZ (Withdrew my app, as I wanted to remain in the state I live in now), but they sent me info on RecoveryTrek. You can set yourself up with them and ask them to do random monthly tests. You, of course, are financially responsible and I think you have to pay PRIOR to any testing.
Good luck. I will tell you that before I withdrew my app, it took a full 18 months to hear from AZ, after submitting my app for re-issue.
I hope all goes well for you! Also, if you are using your real name, you may want to change it here, on these forums.

Hi ladies, I am about to go to hearing with AZ board to save my license. I surrendered my NP and RN in Calif for a Dr here reporting me for filling in a presigned triplicate for an Ambien Rx for myself even though she advised me to treat myself. Now AZ wants to discipline me for it. I will loss my NCC national NP certification for being on probation. Any way the board would let me go inactive on my license until 2020 till I renew my certification to keep my NP. How is the AZ board to work with? Calif BRN is a nightmare and $150,000 plus to save my career. Need advise on how to work with the BRN in AZ. Not sure I have the right attorney but is it possible for me to find a job in AZ to fulfill the probation work requirement? I live in Calif now. Would need to move to AZ and not sure how to afford it. Any advise on job searching, affordable cities in need of nurses or dealing with the board. Thank you
