query on course of chemotherapy for small cell lung cancer

  1. According to the NCCN guideline, if combination of drug is used, like CAV or CAE, the three drugs ahould be administered on the same day. However, I am not sure if there are given to patient at the same time or given at different times at the same day.

I would be grateful if you could answer my question.

One at a time, immediately following each other. Why do you ask?

    Thanks very much.

I am studying a case. The written materail said that the patient suffered vomiting and diarrhea after the first dose of Adriamycin. I wonder if he is having single-agent treatment or combination chemotherapy, as the vomiting should happen at 1-3 hours after the administraiotn. Your answer help me deduce if he is having which chemotherapy modality.

Actually, vomiting could happen anytime during the chemo regimen. We advise our patients to take anti-emetics around the clock for at least three days following any emetogenic chemo. So not sure if that would help you deduce anything.
