I am on my fourth interview for this position. On Tuesday I have to do #4 #5 interview with two groups of 15 people each and then I interview with the docs. Seems excessive to have to meet with 40 people for a head nurse job. Does anyone else think that is odd? The unit is hem/onc of which I have over 6 years experience.
Thanks,

Renerian....it seems like a LOT of interviewing to me! Kudos to you for making it through so far.....
Sounds like there could be a couple of possibilities...they have been BADLY burned in the past and did a lot of finger pointing at the hiring manager. They are really into staff buy-in of new hires (not a bad thing) or they are really into micro-management and no one will make a decision without a committee!
Good luck and let us know if you decide to take the job!
Thanks wren! Nice to see you! Yes I was told the staff were pretty beat up by the previous manager and they want buy in I am sure.
I am going to take some time tonight to think about how I would respond to some heavy questions.
Thanks for wishing me good luck!
