Oncology or Cardiac Stepdown?

Hi guys,

im a fairly new RN and have been on the search for jobs for a little while. My main interests have been NICU, Mother Baby, Peds, OR, and PACU. However I've constantly applied to these positions/residency's with no luck because of how popular they are...I've received two offers from a Med Surg Oncology Unit and a Cardiac Stepdown residency. I'm not sure what would be the best direction to go in.

In my opinion, Med Surg Oncology will tear your heart out. Do you want to take care of cancer patients ?

 Cardiac Stepdown will teach you how to care for pulmonary/ cardiac patients.  Many places to go from there.
