When you work within a Federal Government Facility, you do not need another RN license, that is up to you if that is what you want to do.

I am glad you are please with Intelistaff. I have heard some complaints but it was r/t low pay. If you are happy then that is not an issue.

I do have some friends in upstate NY who have talked about the volume of Nursing Schools in the area which equate to a pretty good Staff Pool. The Nursing Shortage is everywhere but not as hard hit, perhaps, in that area.

I hope we hear from some posters in the area who can share their insight.

Thanks for the reply. So far I am happy, we will see how it goes. From what I have read, I just need to stand up for myself and let them know what I want, but also remain flexible. I am looking forward to it, and so are my kids.

Another bit of Info, I do have a NY License. It is a lot of hop jumping so I am going to maintain it. I worked as a Camp Nurse a few years ago. When I go the extra Ceu's required for that state, I used Nurse Spectrum, and signed up for unlimited Ceu's (as it turns out, I use them still to this day for my Ceu's). I believe the Ceu's needed were for Child Abuse and Infection Control.

My fiance is from upstate NY and wants "retire there someday"; it is beautiful country. I hope you get to see the leaves turn in the fall... it is breathtaking.
