I was working on my prereqs a year ago while trying to sell my house at the same time. Due to the economy, I had to stop going to school last fall in order to save my home from forclosure. Now after almost a year, I'll be able to register for my last few prereqs starting in the Jan 09' semester. I've obviously got some time between now and then (can't go in the fall semester due to work scheduling). My question is, can anyone reccommend any study guides/suggested reading/websites so that I can start studying now? The classes I need to finish are A&P II, Micro, and Organic Chem. I figured I could take all three in the same semester and knock it out if I had a grasp of the material before hand. Thanks!!

Those are the three hardest classes, and I wouldn't take them all together if you didn't absolutely have to. OCC's deadline is December 15 and they only take those applications once a year so it's not like you have to rush and take them all in one semester to get them done for an admissions deadline. Taking all three in one semester vs doing them over 2 or more semesters is of no advantage.
I'd think long and hard before electing to take those all together in one semester. You have Winter, Summer, and Fall 09 to take all those courses to apply for the Fall 2010 class. You could even do one a semester and really focus on the material and earning As to make sure you'll earn a spot in the program. It's especially competitive now that OCC admits based on GPA and not a wait list and I think you'll have much better grades and will actually learn a lot more if you don't try to cram those three hard classes into one semester. Even if you have a basic understanding of concepts in those classes it doesn't take into account the amount of time you'll spend on studying specifics for tests, labs, etc
Good Luck and I hope your return to school goes smoothly!
