Hi I am writing up all the meds for my patient last week and I am on the PRN's. The patient has an order for milk of magnesia and in the note section says cathartic and hold for SCR>2. I looked up cathartic and know this is used as a laxative. But what does SCR stand for? I am guessing has something to do with # of stools?? May be way off but if anyone knows and can fill me in please. Thank you!!
