I don't have any personal experience, but read a series of articles in a NC paper about a few of these services that were physically located here in NC. They were technically legal until the medical board found out about them and yanked the licenses of the MDs who were the "prescribing" docs. Then, the state went after the services and shut them down.

The general impression I get is that those services (as opposed to the outfits that are legitimate on-line pharmacies which fill Rxs written by your own doc) are kinda fly-by-night and are only operating until someone official finds out about them ...

I saw a commercial for an upcoming newscast where the announcer said basically, "Buying vicodin online, film at eleven!" So I went to my computer and searched Vicodin, I probably got about 10 pages worth of "hits" I selected one (they were all overseas mostly European pharmacies) and filled out the online form. You can get 66 hydrocodone tabs from one site for about $80. I was stunned. The only thing the form asked was why you needed the med. I wrote in chronic back pain. I then put in a fake creditcard number so the order wouldn't be completed. But I got two emails stating my prescription was approved and that they had processed my order before they sent me the one stating they couldn"t verify my credit card. I wasn't going through with order so I never answered that email but I was shocked at how little information they wanted from me in order to send me narcotics through the mail. Later I watched the news item and the local Action News Team had a twelve year old girl order vicodin from another online pharmacy. Pretty scary!

As a caveat though, if you do have chronic pain and need meds, I am supposing that the prices I saw on the web are cheaper than if you buy them from an American pharmacy so it might have some merit. Though the last time I hurt my back and got a script for T#3's I think I was able to buy my thirty tabs for something like seven dollars. That was probably five years ago. SO who knows?

Something tells me however if this were illegal the DEA and Postal Inspectors would be arresting people who bought their meds this way.
