Omnibus LVN in Houston Anyone?

Published

I'm trying to find out if anyone in Houston area is taking their online LVN program, if you are please let me know.

Thank you!

Hi TWINKLE12, i read some of your concern about this school last yr december and you said that you want to give the school till Feb 2009 if you will be able to write the board exam. I want to know, were you able to write the board exam because the school is now congratulating the LVNs of their school who passed the exam this year. Please let me know b4 someone finally fall into it again

thanks

I did not wait for February. I just got out of their school entirely. I did not want to waste my time any longer at Omnibus with the chance of not being approved. Omnibus is not even accredited by the BON. I would suggest attending a nursing school that is listed under the BON approved/ accredited schools. By the way, they (CES/ CGFNS) would not evaluate my classes since I did not complete it entirely. If I did complete the entire ADN/ PN II program then maybe they would. I will never know. Anyway, I received an email saying the BON did not approve a single person for the RN, only LVN licensure in TX. That may change though. Good luck in your future nursing endeavors!

It is a pity that i found this discussion board late. I have also started the school even i paid for the last three classes before i saw this forum. I went to the school two months ago for the refund of those classes that i have not started, they told me that the refund will come fron Philipine and it takes two months. Now if i call them, they will just drop my phone. I wish the law can catch up with this people. I am willing to talk to any agency that want to investigate them.

Well this is for everybody, LONE STAR college Kingwood is admitting for online RN nursing schoool for student that have already gotten either associate or bachelor degree. I have just applied hoping i will be admitted. For more information, let me know

i just called omnibus and the gentleman on the phone told me that omnibus has NO accreditation in the US. that sums up the whole story. Thanks.

All of these "correspondence" schools from the Philipines shouldn't be approved by the Texas BON, they only offer 2-3 months clinical, that is not SAFE nursing practice. I used to work with this guy that took Kennedy Global and cannot pass the NCLEX! Texas needs to ban all those programs! those programs are misleading with lack of clinicals hours. Locals are being under prepared and is an easy ticket for the ones that live in the Philipines to come to the US. I wouldn't like for someone to take care of my sick mother that graduated from a "correspondence" program. this just makes me angry!
