Omg time expired on math protion of NET

Published

My time expired on the math portion of the NET in phoenix. I looked at my scores and I was three points away from passing even though I had a good amount of questions left. I scored a 80 on the reading comprehension and I am so bummed and sad that I ran out of time. The thing that sucks the most about the whole situation is that my school and district will no longer be doing the NET and are will using the HESI A2 instead. So I missed out my three points and have no chance to take the test over. I am so scared that this new test is going to be so hard and I just don't know what to do. I want to be a nurse so bad and I feel my future is going to be way more challenging than I thought. Has anyone taken the NET and the HESI A2? Is there a big difference, I'm just freaking out here. I'm a guy and I cried in my car on the way home and not to add that when I left school it started storming hardcore. I felt immediate deppression and almost lost it. I feel like nursing was so far gone out my life and nursing is all I want to do. It's my passion and everything I want to be in life.

It's going to be okay. I haven't taken either test (although I will take the NET once the test dates are posted) but I'm sure that it's not the end of the world. Once you find out what's on the HESI A2 just study that and do the best you can. If for some reason or another you don't get the required score then you could use the next year or semester to brush up on those skills and retake some classes that you didn't do so well in. You can increase your GPA, thereby increasing your chances of getting into the program. It's not like you have to wait 5 years to take the exam again. I'm sure at most you will have to wait is a year. It's okay. It really is. Good luck.
