I am so excited to start the program I a few weeks! My GPA is 3.9 in the prereqs and I took all of the support coursework and classes needed for the BSN such as sociology, nutrition, and lifespan psychology before entering the program. I'm really happy I did it that way because now I can just focus on the nursing classes. I worked really hard for two years and now my dream is coming true! I wish you all the best as you pursue this dream too. Stay positive, keep your eye on the ball, avoid the naysayers, and don't let anything stop you! It's such a good feeling to be at this point (little scary too) but I can't wait to do this. :heartbeat:nurse:

Awesome!!! Please keep us all updated on your progress and how you like the program!

Awesome!!! Tell us how its going for you? Did you get accepted the first time? 13/13 points?

I'm applying to the nursing program at Olympic. Could you explain the point system? I'll be transferring from another state, and my previous college didn't use one. How difficult is it to get into the program? I'm a B student.

You can earn a total of 13 points your first attempt of applying. If you don't get accepted the first time you get a rollover point which gives you an advantage over the people applying for the first time. I hear that you might as well not plan on getting accepted the first time applying. You can earn points like this: a combined gpa of 3.7-4.0 gets you 6 points (less gpa = less points for gpa). They only look at Eng 101, Chem 121 and Bio 241 (those are the only classes they combine the gpa for and give you points for). Then if you have completed Bio 260 before the March 31st deadline (of application for nursing program). You can check out more on the website or attend one of the nursing orientations. They have one coming up on Dec. 14 from 8:30 am to 9:30. Hope this helps. Good luck.
