Hey just thought I would see if anyone else is waiting to interview with ODU!  Any tips or tricks?  I was surprised that they are doing in person interviews, excited to visit the campus!

Do you know how long we get August the 2nd year? I am just trying to plan a wedding and figure out a good date.

Maybe only a week possibly. I’ll look into it for you

Hey everyone! Just received an interview invitation for 2022 Summer start. Could anyone on this thread give me some insight on the interview? ? I’m planning on going in person!

I also interviewed on 10-23. Has anyone heard any thing about acceptance or denial? I know they said it could take up to a month ? Checking my email 1000/day haha!

Hi there! I will be interviewing this year, and I was wondering if you could give me some insight into the interview style. Types of questions, anything super noteworthy that you remember! Thanks! ?

(not looking to cheat, just looking for tips) ?

It’s a panel interview. About 6-8 people in the room who rotate asking questions. They ask a mix of clinical and get to know you questions. ie: clinical experience where you had to critically think quick. Medication mechanism of actions. How you will finance school. Support system. Why did you choose odu. Three qualities that describe you and your work ethic.

Fairly laid back. Don’t be afraid to make jokes they love that. Takes about 15 minutes or so :)

Specializes in CVICU, NSICU.

Hi there! I'd agree with everything that Grizzlyswim had to say. My interview was a little different last year in that it was via zoom (Covid & I was living in Hawaii) so I didn't have to deal with in person jitters?. I was, however,  super awkwardly staring at the ceiling deep breathing because I was so nervous waiting for it to start. They caught me doing this and laughed and asked if I was asleep haha! Best of luck!!!
