OU nursing Acceptance

U.S.A. Oklahoma

Hi! Does anyone know when they will send out the acceptance letters for the OU traditional nursing program? The woman that I spoke with at OU had said thatshe thought it was March, but was not sure. I just wonderedif anyone else had any information. Thanks!!

Good luck to you too! I called OUHSC -OKC because I had a question regarding my application and prereqs. I found out that they are planning to mail out the letters on Thurs. & Fri of next week (April 9 & 10). The admissions advisor told me that the letters are supposed to reach the applicants no later than April 15, but that they will not be mailing acceptance letters any sooner than the 9th or 10th. Hope this helps!

I am so nervous because my husband will also have a meeting on April 15 to see if he is being sent back to active duty in the Air Force. Alot could change in my life within the next few weeks (hopefully for the better)! :wink2:

Oh, cool, so hopefully I will get a letter by next friday or even that following monday. I am nervous too, I applied at OCCC accelerated didn't get in, but got on the alternate list of number 25:( Then, I am waiting on two letters from OU. I also applied at osu-okc, cause I heard from a classmate from last semester in my human anatomy class that it was a good program. I just hope I get into something! URGH! Hopefully we will both get into nursing this fall!!

Have you had all of your science classes out of the way? I just got done taking human anatomy last semester at Osu-okc and it was tough.. I had Dr. Chambers and it was kindof challenging..

Hi Jewls67

I have taken all of my science courses except I am currently taking Human Physio at OCCC. The only program that I applied to is the OU traditional BSN. I put my first choice as the OU-OCCC Collaborative agreement and my second as OUHSC-OKC. I was considering applying to OSU-OKC and OCCC for the associates RN degree but I really want a Bachelor's degree. Also, it was $50 to apply plus $25 for background check and I would have had to take the HESI.

So what programs did you apply for at OU? I just wondered what you put down as your choices as far as type of program and location.

Hey Beth001,

I applied for the ouhsc-okc traditional bsn program ,and I also applied for the occc collaborative bsn program. I just hope that i get in! The reason being is ,I applied to OU's accelerated 14month bsn program, which is designed for students that already have a nonnursing bachelor's degree, and then applied to occc accelerated 9 month rn program, which is for students that already have a nonnursing bachelor's degree. I just got a denial letter from the accelerated-second degree/ bsn program at ou back in march 2009. Then, I also got a letter from occc accelerated 9 month rn program saying that I was on the alternate list as number 25. I just really want to get accepted to any nursing school. :scrying: I am hoping since I graduated back in 2008 of may from OU with a science degree that maybe they will look into that...I don't know...??

I am so nervous. The letters should be coming out soon. Good luck to us all.

I am nervous too Honeydawn 75! Good luck to everyone!

Hello to everyone. Has anyone received their acceptance or denial letter from OU for the fall 2009 nursing program?

NO, not yet. I thought that I would receive it on Friday or Saturday since OU told me that they looked to mail the letters out last Thursday or Friday. I am hoping that I will get it on Monday now!

I called Thursday and someone told me I will get my letter sometime this week or possibly the beginning of next week. I called the Tulsa campus, but I am not sure who I spoke to. I hope to get my letter soon, I can't take the suspense.

I am sick of waiting!:banghead: UGH! But, hopefully I will get my letter tommorrow and it will be the acceptance letter......

Good luck to you all!

Good luck to everyone. I definitely know how it feels to wait. I applied to the accelerated OU BSN program for OKC and was first denied, but then I made it in as an alternate. I found out at the end of March and now I have a list of things to do to get ready for class on June 1. I have a friend who is waiting to hear just like you all. I am sure she will get in but she is still anxious with the waiting. Does anyone know what is taking them so long to get the letters out? It took forever with the accelerated program as well.

I still have not received my letter. Has anyone received theirs yet?
