I didnt go to that school in the end. they seem very disorganized to me. THERE was a gun shooting happened in that school like two weeks ago n seven students were shot dead. n i read their passing rate was below the average passing score. u can read the news online, just google oikos university oakland
Moved to CA Nursing Programs for more response.
pretty much everyone has heard about the shooting at oikos, but that was a personal grudge between an individual and the admin at the school and should not be a reflection on the school (much like when michelle lee was murdered by a friend while attending chabot). Unfortunatly a good amount of schools in the bay area are in dangerous places known for violence, especially oakland, what did you expect? Also, i suspect the low pass rate is due to a language barrior, most students are korean and speak korean studying for a complicated career in a foriegn language. I know the pass rate for the LVN program is low but have yet to check the RN pass rate. You have to really look into things before just doing a google search and putting up the first thing you see because the circumstances really do make a difference.I didnt go to that school in the end. they seem very disorganized to me. Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone has graduated from Oikos University in Oakland for their LVN program.
I would just like to know how you liked their theories and clinical rotations, I understand they are now an accredited program and I am hoping to be in their second cohort which begins in July '10.
If anyone has any input I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
C
