The deadline just passed and I haven't been able to find a thread on the 2019 Oregon Health & Science University CRNA program. I know It's competitive, SO I figure there are more than a few applicants on this site that would like to learn/share information about this term's application process. I just applied, I have good grades but only minimal ICU experience time. Hope you all would consider sharing any thoughts or insight. Thank you.
I should be propofols(persistant)bff for sure :) That first year I only applied to OHSU. Last year I applied to OHSU and Gonzaga. I was waitlisted for Gonzaga. This year I applied to 6 schools. So far I have one no, one waitlist and one interview I am waiting to hear back from and then OHSU and two with deadlines this week. I don't remember saying anything to prompt them to ask about DKA, I think they just picked it because I work in a MICU. But my experience in other interviews-you can definitely lead the interview by only mentioning things that you can talk about in depth.
Lol! @his bff
I love your positive spirit. You'll get in this year somewhere!
Y'all are brave... i applied to 12 programs. I'm broke now

I hope so!
You applied to 12 schools this year!? Dang. I felt bad asking for all of the LORs. especially since I am not the only one trying to get into a program and they always want a letter from your supervisor. Obviously for me she has a letter already and just has to send it, but it's still time she has to dedicate to me. I think she is sad at the thought of potentially losing all of us.

aww. I definitely felt bad harassing people. I'm type A. I want my LOR's done within 48 hours and hate when anyone takes forever lol.
I tried not to helicopter but it was impossible. So i just kept apologizing profusely aha
When i get in I'll definitely send tiff's treats or Starbucks gift card and thank you notes.

I am not very type A-more B. But with the last 3 schools I ended giving two of the people earlier deadlines just because I could not stand waiting until two days before the deadline for them to submit. It was much better that way. And one school wouldn't allow me to even submit my part until all the letters were in. I haven't done much except give profuse thank yous so far, but if/when?! I get in I will be doing treats or something. I am thankful that everyone has been very gracious so far.

I'm the same way. I told my LOR writers that I needed the letters by September 1 so I would have a long lead time. Didn't want any last minute skerfuffles.
