My cousin is a medlab technician. She told me today she heard that medical lab technicians qualify for a green card just like nurses (and physicians). However I can't find any information about that, can anyone clarify?

Medical lab technologists, or med techs, do qualify for the green card, but they are not expedited like nurses and physical therapists. It is minimum of five years for them to get a green card. And they do qualify for the H1-B visa. And this is for those that have the four year degree.
Oh... I think she has a 2-year or so college degree... Oh well, thanks for clarifying. :)
They have to be at the top level in that area, and the two year degree does not count for the green card. The two year degree is only technician status, would be like the LPN in terms of nursing. They are working under the medical technologist in the scheme of things. The LPN does not work for the green card either.
