October board

I was hoping to make the January board, my paperwork was submitted but the last minute I still needed to give more paperwork to the recruiter and we ran out of time. I was very disappointed but I will try again for the next board. The recruiter said I can resubmit my application in August for the October board. I am really hoping it will be ok because I want to do this more than anything. I guess I have to be patient and wait a little longer.

Are you referring to the Army?

I was talking about the Air Force, but at this time I might consider the Army also. I was very excited to have my paperwork sent to the board and the last minute it was a big disappointment. I know that things will work out, however, I think it should have handled differently.

The boards for the Air Force meet monthly - why do you have to wait until October?

My recruiter said the next board for new nurses is in October. I was very disappointed that I have to wait till August to submit my application again. I passed MEPS, I had a great interview, very good recommendations and my GPA is 3.6. He said there is no more board till October, because they had so many applicant. I guess I will try again later. I just want to make sure that I will get selected in October. I don't want to wait around if my chances are not good, or the paperwork going to be messed up again. My biggest concern is that I wait and nothing will happen. I am familiar with the military because I was a military spouse and my sister in the service also. I know there is hurry up and wait, I just want to make sure that if I wait I can get in. I want to do this for a long time, I am hoping it will happen.
