OCCC nursing Fall 2018 traditional

Published

Hi! Anyone apply to O-trip fall nursing program? How many preferences points do you have? Have you finished all classes? I still have micro & A&P 2 to take.

they mis calculated her points and said she had 14 when she had 16 so they emailed today and said she would be getting an email shortly.. which means you are moved up to alternate 1 i would assume!

Holy crap dude that makes me really nervous lol let me know if she gets an email and is in!

she got it like 30 mins ago and shes in! you could always call and say you knew her and you were wondering if you were going to be #1 now

Yay that's so awesome! I'll just wait for an email. Haha I'm so happy for you guys!!

thanks! you should def do it if you get in.. which you will! someone in my chem lab last semester was 14 and got in!

I really want to but I'm so nervous because my husband will be gone almost the whole semester and we don't have family here to help me out if I need anything and we have 3 dogs lol I really I didn't think I'd be this close to getting in so I'm stressed haha

oh ya i understand! they told us our schedule will be mon lab 8-5 and then lecture tues thur 9-12 and then when clinical starts (which i dont think is for 8-10 weeks into the semester) itll be any day of the week/weekend! but i swear someone told me the lab is either the morning block or afternoon and you get assigned one but who knows maybe it is all day.

That's honestly not a horrible schedule!! But I have micro & A&P II to take as well lol.

ya i didnt think it was too bad either! and ohhh ya ugh that sucks. im dreading a&p 2 this summer sooooo much. im gonna take mirco next summer.

Hopefully it won't be too bad but you only need a 75% C! Since you're already in the program you won't have to stress for that A.. lol

yes very true! let me know if you get in!

Hey I just wanted to let you guys and all future applicants know that I got accepted. I was 13 on the alternate list with 14 points. Also, if you make it on the alternate list you get invited to the 1+1 program which might work out better anyway. You get your LPN within one year and you are automatically accepted into the career ladder pathway for OCCC the following year. You would have your RN in the same time frame as the traditional pathway. See you guys in August!
