OCCC nursing Fall 2018 traditional

Published

Hi! Anyone apply to O-trip fall nursing program? How many preferences points do you have? Have you finished all classes? I still have micro & A&P 2 to take.

I guess we'll see! It's lab & clinical every week once we start them, I believe. I'm not sure yet! It just depends on if I get in fall or spring. Spring is evening lectures so it would give me a slight chance of working, lol. I don't plan to work much but we'll see how it goes.

im wondering if we will have any pick on when we do the lab or clinical!

also do you know of anyone else that applied and how many points they had?

I don't think we get a big say on lab, I believe it's a set schedule they make for you? Could be wrong though.. clinical I think we get to ask for certain places/days BUT they ultimately choose for us. And yes! I have a friend who applied w 19 points!

wow thats really good! hoping the cut off isnt super high this year.

Yeah hopefully! I hear fall is the hardest to get into though but they could have had less people apply due to the new application. I know I hated it, lol.

ive heard that too! the application was horrible and stressed me out. i went to both the workshop classes and still felt confused or that i did not do something correctly. but i'm just hoping it will speed up the admission process.

ME too! It would be great to know before the end of the semester instead of middle of summer... that way I know if I need to change my schedule for summer classes.

according to some of these older posts it has taken like 8 weeks so really hoping we hear beginning of may- mid may! i dont really see the point in them doing a new application if it didnt benefit them in the process ya know.. well we will see! the wait is going to kill me. my sister applied to osu okc nursing program and had 92 points.. which is really high and they denied her but the cut off was 87 so they messed up and they wont return her calls so that scares me.. they also had the highest cut they've ever had.. also apparently 215 people applied so that also scares me lol hopefully not that many people apply to ours..

I just stopped by admissions to ask if the acceptance process would be sooner but she said due to the amount of people that applied they're still looking at the 6 week time frame. I also talked to someone that said you have 48 hours after denial/acceptance to have them recount your points or relook at your application.

Hey guys, I applied with 15 points. I am in Micro right now and I will be done with pre-req's after this semester is done. I have emailed the nursing director to ask about lab days, all I got was that for the first 8 weeks labs will take place from 8-5 on Mondays. I am trying to work during school so I have to plan ahead. I wish they would give us more information!

i could be wrong but i swore someone who was in the spring semester told me the lab was split into two different ones like a morning lab or afternoon and you got placed in one of them. could be wrong tho.
