OCCC Fall 2020

Published

Is anyone else applying to OCCC for the fall? I am nervous because I couldn't take the TEAS test or Accuplacer due to the COVID-19. I had to submit my ACT scores from 20 years ago tog et partial preference points. But, my math was so bad then and I don't want it to count against me. Anyone else in a similar boat? It's pretty anxious in mine :)

I want to apply but my accuplacer score from yearsss ago isn't just a little above the required scored. I really just want to wait until the BADNAP program but I'm thinking with this COVID-19 stuff their won't be too many applications.

I wanted to apply for the BADNAP program, too. But, it doesn't start in the fall. An advisor told me that even though the BADNAP starts later, it finishes before the traditional program that starts in the fall does. I submitted my application for the traditional program in the fall. If I do not get in, I will probably apply to the BADNAP program. Fingers crossed for you. Surely, they will take into account that we are unable to test/retest right now. I was also wondering how the COVID-19 would affect number of applicants.

Yes the BADNAP starts January 2021 the application is due in September, I hope the TEAS test dates are available by then. I would think so too, all of this has put such a delay with the programs I know its too early to say what they will do for the application process for the BADNAP

Hi! I’m wanting to applying to the traditional program for the fall but I’m also nervous. I wasn’t able to take my writing accuplacer and get the score I wanted for points. How many points are you guys applying with?

13 - I wasn't able to take the TEAS or the OCCC math test for points, so I am stuck with the points I had in March.

I’m going to be applying with 12, I am hoping other people are applying for with around the same points.

I applied to the traditional pathway with (I think) 16 points. Anyone know when we’ll be getting acceptance emails? They pushed back to deadline to May 29.

I am not quite sure, I have heard 4-6 weeks. I think 16 points in really good. I would expect to get in!!

I will be applying with 13 points for the CLP. Really nervous due to the fact I can't take my TEAS. Waiting for my official grades for this semester to post so everything is accurate.

From what I have read the Traditional program doesn't have to take the TEAS. That is only for the BADNAP program. I applied for the fall traditional for this year before the first deadline they had and from what I thought they said that you could use your ACT scores for reading instead of the accuplacer, but now when I read on the website it says you HAVE to take the reading accuplacer. So I'm confused. Anyone know?

How did you get your old ACT score? Is yours official or just what was on the ACT website? I just logged on to the ACT website and uploaded that test score. I'm worried because it says it isn't an official report though.
