Hello. I am having my OB critical thinking test on Friday. They have not given anthing to study and I have no idea what could be the case study. Please, if someone has any sample or advice, I would appreciate it

Critical thinking has as its basis a sound knowledge of theory. Study your text and notes from class till you know them bacwards and forwards. Be able to recall infomation without having to look it up. A person can know how to "think critically" but if they don't have the knowledge base to draw on then they won't pass the test. This being the case you have everything you need to study, that is your text and notes. Good luck.

critical thinking involves knowing:
so, with ob and l&d you need to know what goes on during normal pregnancy and childbirth, how it is treated (and supported) and most importantly what is done when things go wrong. this is, or should be, the very same way you have been preparing for all your other nursing tests.
here is a very nice website that has ob/l&d information that can help you nail some of this stuff down. however, you have to be able to supply the critical thinking part of it all.

I am sure you have a textbook that gives you NCLEX type questions to practice, but here is a link to another one. I always liked to practice as many as possible. Just click on the chapters on the top left and you will see there are NCLEX questions you can do, or even case studies. http://wps.prenhall.com/chet_olds_maternal_7
