opinion on VBAC after 2 csections

Okay all you experienced OB nurses.......lets hear your opinion on VBAC after 2 sections.

Scenero...

1st Child. 41.5 wks and then induced. At hospital barely 1 cm started PIT. Pit too strong, back off pit. Epidural given, epidural malfunctioned, epidural fixed, later to be taken away to help with delivery. 6 IVs, 12 catheters, 6 before pushing and 6 before getting foley in for csection. Pushed a few hours then doc came in and cked and said why was I pushing....baby not coming out bc of position. Not sure what she meant at the time, likely to be that she was cramed so far down that with swelling there was no hope in doc being able to help reposition her....ended in csection.

2nd child....vbac attempt. Went into labor with SROM at 41 weeks. Dilated to 5 cm with no prob and then stopped. Offered Pit or repeat csection....after the above lovely *not* experience with pit opted for section.

Preg w/ 3rd, given option to try again by the only vbac (regardless of 1 vs 2) supporter in the area. Understand risk of UR, etc.

Had appt last Thur and was 36 wks 6 days, so 1 day shy of the Start of my 37th wk. Dilated to 2.5 cm and 75%. Doctor was very "pleased" with where I was already. Have appt tomorrow will be 37 and 5. Have section scheduled for Nov 3rd, 40th wk, if no labor before then. BTW, been having Tons of contractions..I know they are Braxton hicks but man they are sooooooo much stronger than prior pregnancies.....some I cant even move with.

Any advice //// thoughts //// etc?

My preceptor from L/D said go for it....as long as I can do it w/out induction, etc. Esp if I can go into labor before 40+ bc of the size of the baby. My last one, at 41 wks was 8 lb 9 oz. First was 7-2.

thought about having a doula for extra support too.

I agree with your preceptor, but it is up to you and something to discuss with your OB doctor. I am 14 weeks myself and plan to have a doula for support. Your chances for a c/s drop significantly by just having a doula. I hope to have a natural delivery myself.. this will be my first one and hope it doesn't come to the point of having a cesarean. Hope everything works out for you!
