Hello everyone,
Has anyone got accepted to the May 2017 ASD program for OU? How about any earlier programs?
I wanted to start a new forum about this and ask whether or not anyone has taken the patho, nurs informatics and pharm at OU yet. If you have, how was it taking that class online? Were they fairly easy or what?
Also, I would love to connect with current and former and new students (i.e. those accepted for the May 2017 program) regarding the ins and outs of the program.
I was also wondering whether or not scholarships for the program were available to ASD students and how would one go about applying for them.
Hey I've been accepted for the Accelerated BSN program for may of 2017. Currently taking NRS 227 with kapa and am really frustrated and overwhelmed with ow much reading I have to do. I'm afraid to take the quiz because I feel like I hardly know the information. Also registered for NRS 221.
Hi there! Yes-I too am very frustrated! But you need to take it because you do get a second chance! I took t last night and was so nervous I did horribly! Retook tonight and did much better. I took mental note on what gave me trouble which is exactly what I spent all day today studying. I connected with someone else in our class as well-
Sorry about that y'all, its been awhile since i checked the responses to my original post.
Its good to know that fellow May 2017 students were able to connect via this post. How about we start a Facebook group for May 2017?
Patho has extremely been tedious and I'm hoping i can continue getting through it. The class is super interesting, and even though the reading can get dull at times, there's a lot of interesting clinical manifestations to certain diseases that were described well.
Has anyone started Nursing Informatics? how is the class and what books do we need? i haven't got any email from a professor yet and i start the class October 20th.
Hi there, everything for 227 is online-it's super difficult so stay on top of it. I don't know who you have but our class had weekly homework and weekly quizzes which were more like exams-it's a lot of material in a short time but to answer your question all exams and all work are completed online. Good luck!
Hey all, just wanted to wish you guys good luck in the program. Its a tough program but you just gotta push through it. I just finished, have pinning tonight and graduate Saturday. The first 7 weeks of every semester seem to be the hardest. If you guys have any questions feel free to ask. I also have some of the books for sale needed for the program as well!
Your thread has been moved to the Nursing Schools / Colleges forum where the other school specific discussions are. We hope you will receive additional responses in this new location.
Love-my kiddos

I have 221 with Dr. Paul, how about you? I thought about asking about sitting in a lecture, don't know if we have to ask an advisor or what. Thought about waiting to see how this week goes and how the first quiz goes-reading does take forever and I'm the type of person who likes to take her time and really get it straight which I don't think there is time for that. Are you on Facebook? We can connect that way if you want. Are you starting ASD may of 17?
