Yes, its possible. I wouldn't advice it until you get in and adjust to things. The beginning of nursing school is tough
but you slowly adjust. If you absolutely have to work, cut down your hours to a minimum of 24 a week. Not to scare
you but I have lost so many friends who failed out that were 4.0 students prior to nursing school. As far as how many days you'll be in school, it differs. Just to break it down tho, monday's are reserved for theory 9-12 or 2-5,, tues can be lab, thur & Fri 7-3pm are clinicals where you are in the hospital. Plus you have care plans to write(takes at least 10+ hrs to complete), study, etc.. Its a lot but can be done
Thank you. Congratulations on making it to the second year. Really, I would just like a better understanding of how a normal week is in the program, with lecture, lab, and clinicals? I like to be somewhat prepared as much as possible. I have two kids and as of right now I work full time so I definitely want to be prepared. I plan to possibly go to contingent when I start the program. What are some things that you wish you knew before going in?
Are you able to choose your theory/lab times or is that assigned? I know the course/clinical schedule changes every 7 weeks - does it change drastically or stay relatively the same? I'm sure all of this depends on the courses you are enrolled in at the time - but just trying to get a general idea.
