I don't mind at all! I have a pretty solid GPA- around a 3.7, but that's only gen ed. Working on Micro now and haven't done any of the other pre-requisities. I was in the Navy for six years and have a really good recommendation letter- thinking those might be what gets me in if anything.
What about you? Stats? I know we're supposed to hear sometime in May- do you know anything else about it?
I'm only at a 3.0 but I wrote a killer personal statement, completed all the pre-reqs, and have tons of hospital experience and community involvement. I'm hoping my time as a birthing assistant coupled with a LOR from a medical doctor will be enough to push me over the hump *fingers crossed* all I know is that rejection letters have been going out so there's really no rhyme or reason in the notification process.
Wow, thats great. From what I've been reading GPA doesn't matter too much if you have some killer extra curricular stuff (like you do). I have been following a forum for the ABSN's since I couldn't find anything about transfers. So rejections for transfers have already been going out too?
Yep, I called to confirm that I wasn't waiting for no reason you know? The woman told me that notifications (good and bad) would be sent out for the rest of May and that if you haven't heard anything by the 29th call and speak with someone. I follow that forum as well. I want to go so badly my stomach is in knots lol!
It's actually the only school I applied to as well. :) Since they don't require the pre-req's to be complete, I thought 'what the heck'! I visited in January and fell in love with the city and area. I really have no idea what to expect on getting in and stuff. Only time will tell, I suppose.

HI! I haven't been able to find any threads for applicants to the traditional transfer program at NYU for the Fall 2014 semester, I've only seen them for the accelerated program. I'm anxiously waiting for the decision, and read that we can find out anywhere from 4/7 to 5/29!! Has any one else applied to the transfer program for Fall 2014? or go to NYU nursing now? Good luck to all!
