NYU ABSN Spring 2019

I was recently admitted into the NYU Second Bachelor's in Nursing Program, but since I have not finished all the pre-requisites thus applied as a non-accelerated student, I won't start the curriculum until Spring 2019, so I've decided to start a thread for that cohort.

Yeah I'm not sure, that seems like an awfully large gap in between release dates. Hopefully that's not the case, 2 days notice to get a flight across the country seems a tad inconsiderate. I guess lets hope for the best

What?? The admitted students orientation days are 11/12, 11/19, 11/26, and 12/3 so I don't think they could realistically release the remaining decisions on 12/1.. that wouldn't give anyone time to make it to the orientation day :/

Hey -where did you get this information? And are all required?

Same here! I just called, they told me that first batches went out last week and that the rest won't be released till December 1. what?! lol!

Happy Monday, fam! Strongly hoping that second batch gets released this Friday- This is the last school I am waiting on and I applied to 6!

For those already in, congratulations again! You should feel beyond proud of yourselves as we all know how good of a school NYU is especially for nursing. For those of us still waiting (me included), lets try to stay as positive possible. I'll say it is safe to assume we are all intelligent individuals who have a passion for helping others and making a significant impact on the world, both from a medical standpoint as well as other ways. So if it's not NYU, it's somewhere else, but at the end of day don't lose sight of the potential we have to do some awesome things- regardless of where we end up going to school!

Does anyone know does everyone need to fill out the CSS form ?

A few weeks ago they sent out an email that the CSS profile did not need to be completed for admissions(anyone,please correct me if I'm wrong), but I had already filled it out and paid the money, so I'm not exactly sure.

Hi all, Im new to this thread. I called them early October to confirm because the website stated that we would only fill out FAFSA. They told me that the ABSN the CSS profile was not needed only the FAFSA. Then a couple of weeks later they sent out that other email about not filling out the CSS profile.

Just to be clear, neither FAFSA nor CSS needs to be filled out for admission right? It just needs to be filled out to be considered for financial aid?

Yes, the FAFSA is just needed for financial aid consideration.
