NYU ABSN Fall 2018

I decided to start a thread for the NYU accelerated nursing program since I have not seen one for fall 2018:)

You can still apply for financial aid! I applied for financial aid after my acceptance to NYU nursing. They actually offered a nursing scholarship as well. As long as you apply before the national deadline and NYU deadline, you should be good. Though, as a second degree student we don't receive actual aid, only loans and a possible nursing scholarship.

~3.2-3.3 cum gpa, ~3.6 prereq gpa, some healthcare experience (hospital volunteer in ER, intern at a doctors office), registered EMT (but didn't work bc of school), 3 letters of recs (2 professors and EMT instructor) and I think I wrote a really good essay

I received an acceptance, but I already accepted SUNY Downstate's Nursing Program in January. Hopefully my spot goes to one of you! :) Congrats to everyone who made it!!

my stats -

3.6 cGPA

3.9 pre-req GPA

Psych Major Chem Minor

Experience: medical assistant 3 years, dental assistant 2 years

Recommendation letters: 2 doctors, 1 dentist, 1 NP

Extracurriculars: social/philanthropic sorority, academic psychology fraternity, yoga club, animal shelter volunteer
