Hello my fellow nurses! I recently was hired at a private hospital in NYC affiliated with NYSNA. Does anyone know if NYSNA offers tuition reimbursement? Any experiences with this union? I recently transitioned from 1199. Thank you!

I would expect that the tuition reimbursement comes directly from the employer, based on internal policies or union negotiations and not from NYSNA itself.

Hello, we may be coworkers. Yes you will have tuition reimbursement as long as you have been employed for one full year. Depending on which of the facilities you work for, you may have uncapped tuition reimbursement or up to 18,000 per year. Look in the handbook you got during union orientation and you will find this information. Good luck!
