I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?
I am so much interested in getting a lawyer too, I went through the right process and my only crime is going to an approved nursing school in Florida. It's been since May and no license yet, if they knew there would be no license then why did they issue me an att?

After passing my NCLEX through Hawaii, trying to do my endorsement ,my school call me telling me that NYBON will not give you a license " because lots of students are failing the NCLEX, you should be happy another state give you a license". I went straight into depression mood. After telling all my friends and family, and co-workers I have passed my NCLEX now I can't work in NY. I call the NYBON and they keep telling me that the school is on probation and first off all it not accredited it approved, so I ask why your give me a LPN license from this same school a year and half go? She couldn't answer that question. My boss keeps asking me when will I get my license and I don't know what to say cause it is really embarrassing. ?????.
Your school obviously isn't telling the truth, its not because students are failing. They fail everywhere. It could be do to them being on the list of schools there investigating right now. Also I don't know why your school would tell u to take it in Hawaii when u wanted a license in ny. Hawaii has a lower score to pass, and ny is very funny with certain states

I have gone through the only honest way to get my nurse education. It has been since February that a passed my NCLEX RN on my first attempt and ZERO ANSWERS OR CONTACT FROM NYBON.
I have never seen such of lack of professionalism.
please let me know if anyone is working with a representative and can DM me the info.
All those that bought there license has made it bad for others. And NYBON look like they won't let up anytime soon
NYBON is very unprofessional. There holding back students for what others did
What if someone is licensed in ny state but looking to endorse license to another state? I know nybon is not releasing passing scores to other states for initial licensure but what about if they are already licensed? My school was approved, now is nationally accredited (not nursing accreditation), but is on probation for NCLEX scores. I notice even some state schools are on probation so I don't think it's going to get shut down or anything. I am wanting to change jobs and move but I don't know if I should try the endorsement paperwork. The other states are telling me that they can't give me a definitive answer until I apply. Scared to call the nybon and find out for sure.

the only way to know is to try. If there nationally accredited I don't see what would be the problem. May I ask what school this is
the nybon told my classmates they will not issue them license even though they gave them att before 4/18 due to the probationary status even though the school is national accredited. That's why I'm very unsure on how to do the endorsement or if it's even possible

Thats why weird. Nybon seems to have a problem with Florida schools. What school is this
Any state you choose to go to, its up to the board if they want to grant you. And only by trying is how you'll find out. What state do u want to endorse
@mangosmoothie505 The problem, if there is one, is that a school may have national accreditation, but the nursing program still not be up to par. That is where the State Board of Nursing approval comes into play.
Because of the FL debacle, NY is revising its statutes to only accept "accredited" nursing programs. They decided that "approval" in FL does not meet their educational standards. So, regardless of whether or not the school was regionally accredited, if the school's nursing program does not have its separate program accreditation by a national nursing accrediting agency - you will run into problems in NY. Also, there are a lot of "national accrediting agencies" that are dodgy...do you know which one accredited your school?
I am already licensed in ny I want to endorse my license out of state. It is accredited by tracs.
So TRACS is not a regional accrediting agency but rather, deals in private, Christian schools. So - the school may be "accredited" and that accreditation may be fine for Bible studies, etc...but it is not a national accrediting agency, especially for nursing programs.
yeah but BON said it is okay since it recognized by federal government
My other friends who graduated from abhes accreditation are all able to get license in ny since it is national accreditation
