Nybon Nursing School Under Investigation

I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

@Maria30 oh wow I wonder if it takes that long for the other schools as well

@Maria30 so wait that investigation is still going on why? Because they people were charged so why not just close the investigation already 

@Lpn.N.Y thats way too long, with the owner being in jail I don't see how they will let anyone test. I Think NYBON is not being honest with the students

I don't believe so, it all depends what the investigation is for. And they can choose what students to let go forward if it shows u didn't attend school.

thats investigation with palm Beach should of been over, I think they are giving false hope

@starr2022. But why did it effect the students who put in application before April 2021?

@Lpn.N.Y it doesn't matter when u put in application.  Once there is an investigation   everyone is placed on hold till that investigation is concluded.  I don't understand if the owner is locked up why not make a decision. I think NY leaves people guessing 

@Maria30 are they investigating the school or each student tho because that would take a long time to do that

This whole situation is a mess. Stress is so overwhelming.

So true and many other states have banned Palm Beach School of Nursing for NCLEX testing so it is going to be hard for you to find a board that will let you test its really sad.

@T Jasmine there investigating the school, with investigation they look at school records to see who attended school and it what year. And I'm sure other things that I'm not aware of

They are starting to look into it. A couple of licenses were already taken away.

It is stressful. But if other states are against them . It's going to be hard
