I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

No I think you misunderstood. When you finish your program and your info is sent to FL board to test and you get your ATT; you have 3 tries to sit for FL (this is where you stand eligible to sit for Florida). If you want to enroll in a BSN program during that period you can for some schools like UT-Arlington. But only the first course.

Which school is that? How long ago did you finish?
@kingz10102 OK make sense. I was saying for someone with school on hold wouldnt make sense to start. Because u don't know how long that hold will be. I completely understand what your saying

Yeah, that case would be kind of a stir up. My hope would be many of those students have their names to BON prior to the hold. Or that exemptions would be granted for those students stuck in limbo
Hello all just wanted to share my story. I attended a school in Florida that is now on the Nybon list. I received my ATT from Florida and passed the NCLEX back in April 2021. At that time Florida granted me a license. However when I applied for endorsement in NY in that same month my application was placed on hold pending investigation. After a few months of waiting I decided to apply for my license in CT. CT granted me a license in July of 2021. I pretty much lost hope in getting my license endorsed in NY. I’ve been waiting for 19 months. I pretty much picked up my husband and my baby and moved to CT to start a new life here from scratch. Don’t get me wrong it’s beautiful out here in CT, cost of living is great, and I was able to land a job paying 120k annually. I just get a little homesick sometimes missing friends and family. I held off on completing my BSN but I think I’m gonna start next year.
Very interesting experience you had, I am glad you over came the odds through it all. Once you complete your BSN do plan on reapplying to NY?
OK thank you. U give inspiration. Thank for sharing your story

I may give it another try and reapply after I complete my BSN.
