NY Licensed FNP Seeks Multiple State Licensure

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi there...I am licensed in NY as an FNP.  I am looking to obtain multiple state licensure.  I am currently working for a company that does telehealth and this would be beneficial to my practice.  I am not full time with this organization, therefore I am on my own to get the multi-state.  What is the most efficient way to accomplish this.  I'm specifically looking for NJ, PA, CT, Mass, VT, RI and ME.  Please help.  I'm not even sure where to start. #NYFNP, #Licensure, #Multistate, #FNPMultistate

Just learned that for NJ, you must first endorse RN license and then, once received, apply for APRN license

As this is likely going to apply for the remaining states as well, you are going to have to apply for RN licensure by endorsement individually in each of the states you wish to be licensed in.  After receiving your RN licensure you can then apply for your APRN licensure, although some states might allow you to do both simultaneously.

As for multi-state, you are referring to the eNLC, you have to be a resident of one of those states for your license to provide multi-state privileges.

Best wishes.

Thank you so much Chare.  very appreciated.  it seems daunting, but I'll just have to take 1 step at a time.  NY does not participate in eNLC.
