NY Grad, application question

I am a little confused on the process (actually my mind is just jello right now,from finishing school). Here is what I think is what I need to do (if incorrect can someone please help me!?)

Step one, is to send in licsence app. to NY BON, and then I can apply to pearson view ? Aaaaauuuuuggg!! I am so confused! :uhoh3:

Hi there, from another New York person :)

Fill out the license application completely, the one you can print online (or get from wherever) for the State. Attach photo, yada yada. Send in with check for $135 (RN...?). Your school will already be sending in the matching documents needed on their end, to the State. After they receive your application, State will send you a generic "dear applicant....when we get proof of eligible requirements....yada yada....you'll get licensed". File it.

At any time, you can go to Pearsonvue website and register. You must pay the $200 at that time for the NCLEX when registering. You'll not be able to schedule your exam until NYSBON sends "ok" to Pearsonvue. At THAT time, you'll get an email from Pearsonvue that includes your ATT (Authorization To Test). PRINT THIS, you will need it the day you show up for exam.

Once you have your ATT, you can go back to Pearsonvue website and schedule your exam date/time.

That's it!

THank you very much! But I still have one more question. I am not able to apply to the pearsonvue online (which is a long story), so my question is... How do I actually get one in my hand to fill out, and send back in with the $200? :uhoh3:

(Also, I will be taking nclexpn)

Hmmm.....that I don't know. I imagine you'd have to call Pearsonvue itself (number on the website). Just allow plenty of time, as they'd have to process by mail, clear a check or whatever.

I'm sure they can tell you directly. :)

Here,in Florida we were told by the school to send them in at the same time.BON,PEARSON
