There are probably some cockamamie 'certifications' out there with various labels (e.g., nutritionist, herbalist, etc.) but I think you probably need to look at Dietitian programs if you want a career field that is considered a legitimate health care career. This is within their scope of practice. RDs must have a masters degree. Be forewarned though - salaries are usually not comparable to nurses with the same level of education.

To all nurses,
I have been an RN for about 2 1/2 years. I am trying to decide if I want to go back to school to get my masters in something. I know that I specifically like talking about nutrition and teaching about diets, foods, etc. Is there a masters degree program where I can be a nutritional educator? If so, where are they what are the programs called? I live in New York right now and don't want to relocate unless absolutely necessary.
Thank You all in advance.
